20.09.2008 - Aeroflot-Nord (5N/Arkhangelsk) has been rebranded again as AVL - Arkhangelsk Airlines (5N/Arkhangelsk), its original name, after Aeroflot has decided to cut its visible ties with the regional carrier following a fatal crash of an Aeroflot-Nord B737-500 on approach to Perm earlier this month. Aeroflot will continue to codeshare with AVL on several routes, but has transferred all services from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Ekaterinburg, Perm, Tyumen and Surgut back to Aeroflot mainline or Aeroflot-Don (D9/Rostov) aircraft.
