24.01.2010 - Belavia (B2/Minsk International 2) has launched three times weekly CRJ-200 service from Minsk Intl 2 to Riga on January 19 in addition to the daily Air Baltic (BT/Riga) services which it had offered through a bilateral codeshare agreement already.

11.10.2009 - Belavia (B2/Minsk International 2) is considering adding longhaul aircraft to its fleet to introduce new routes to China and North America. It is planning to retire its remaining Tu-154s by 2011 and has retired its last Tu-134 earlier this summer and has replaced it by a fifth ex-FlyLAL B737-500. The government is reportedly also considering merging regional carrier Gomelavia (YD/Gomel) and cargo operator Trans Avia Export (AL/ Minsk Machulishchy) into Belavia. It has launched three times weekly CRJ-200 service from Minsk Intl 2 to Amsterdam on August 10.

20.06.2009 - Belavia (B2/Minsk International 2) has resumed four times weekly CRJ-200 service between Minsk Intl 2 and St. Petersburg on March 29. Belavia has also launched weekly seasonal B737-500 service from Minsk Intl 2 to Beirut on June 11 but has not resumed its Minsk Intl 2-Shannon route this summer season. It has leased two ex-Air China (CA/Beijing) B737-300s and two ex-Skywest Airlines (USA) (OO/Salt Lake City) CRJ-200s. It has however retired its last An-24 turboprops in April instead and no longer uses its Tu-154Ms on scheduled services.

20.06.2009 - KD Avia (KD/Kaliningrad) has been forced to temporarily suspend operations for two days in mid-April because of financial difficulties. It has since resumed limited operations but will not resume its seasonal services from Kaliningrad to Odessa and Simferopol this year while it has also terminated its Kaliningrad-Milan Malpensa route. KD has entered into a codeshare agreement with Belavia (B2/Minsk Intl 2) for the Kaliningrad-Minsk Intl 2 route operated by the Belorussian carrier.

25.02.2009 - Belavia (B2/Minsk International 2) will lease two ex-Air China (CA/Beijing) B737-300s later this year.
