24.01.2010 - Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrücken) will replace Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt Intl) on the Munich-Berne route as of February 1 operating two daily Do328-110 services on the route. It will also launch three times daily Do328-110 service from Frankfurt to Hof on March 28 taking over this public service obligation route from Lufthansa which had operated on the route with Contact Air (C3/Stuttgart) ATR 42-500s. Lufthansa will codeshare on both routes. 11.10.2009 - Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrücken) will take over the public service obligation route from Frankfurt Intl to Hof on April 1, 2010 using its Do328-110s replacing Contact Air (KI/Stuttgart) that currently operates on the route on behalf of Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt Intl). 20.06.2009 - Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrücken) has returned its single EMB-175 to the lessor. 25.02.2009 - Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrücken) has again been acquired by former majority owner Gerd Brandecker through one of his investment companies. Augsburg Airways (IQ/Augsburg) and business jet operator DC Aviation (DCS/Stuttgart) will remain subsidiaries of Aton which had taken full control of the Cirrus Group in mid-2008. 15.12.2008 - Sky Express (Russia) (XW/Moscow Vnukovo) has Vitaly Vantsev, the Chairman of Vnukovo Airport, as one of its main shareholders now after Vantsev has acquired a 39% stake in the first Russian low-cost carrier. It has added the ex-Cirrus Airlines (C9/Munich) B737-500 that was originally destined for Aeroflot-Don (D9/Rostov). |
