19.11.2007 - EuroAtlantic Airways (MM/Lisbon) will operate both B777-200ERs of TAAG Angola Airlines (DT/Lunada) on a wet-lease basis for the Angolan national carrier that is currently banned from EU airspace. It will wet-lease B767-300ERs to Air Slovakia (GM/Bratislava) and Gambia Intl Airlines (GC/Banjul).

28.07.2007 - British Airways (BA/London Heathrow) has teamed up with Texas Pacific Group and three Spanish funds for a joint bid for Iberia (IB/Madrid). It has ordered an additional eight A320-200s with deliveries between 2008 and 2010 and is planning to gradually replace its remaining B737s based in London Gatwick with A320 family aircraft. British Airways will transfer its twice daily London-Houston Intcl and its daily London-Dallas/Fort Worth services from Gatwick to Heathrow on March 30, 2008. BA has announced that it is considering launching non-stop Business Class services between mainland Europe and the US. It had been temporarily forced to suspend its weekly London Heathrow-Luanda service in July after the Angolan authorities had denied BA the entry into its airspace as a response to the European Union's ban on TAAG Angola Airlines (DT/Luanda).
