11.10.2009 - Eagle Aviation Europe (EGN/St. Nazaire) is the new name of Eagle Aviation (France) and the carrier is planning to soon resume charter and ACMI operations with two ex-Singapore Airlines (SQ/Singapore Changi) B747-400s and an ex-Aladia B757-200. 20.06.2009 - Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) has been acquired by Azerbaijani investment company Evsen Group out of bankruptcy court and is reportedly planning to resume ACMI and charter operations. Eagle has taken delivery of a first ex-Singapore Airlines (SQ/Singapore Changi) B747-400. It has however returned all of its three B757-200s to the lessors and has lost its operating certificate in the meantime. A French court had temporarily seized a Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV/Jeddah) B777-200ER at Paris CDG airport in mid-April because of non-payment of outstanding invoices for charter services provided to Saudi Arabian by Eagle Aviation. 20.06.2009 - KLM cityhopper (WA/Amsterdam) has placed an order for seven additional EMB-170s in addition to its ten firm orders and nine options for the Brazilian regional aircraft. This would allow KLM cityhopper to retire its Fokker 50 and Fokker 100 fleets in 2010 when it would operate Fokker 70s and Embraers only. It has sold 15 Fokker 100s to Evsen Group, the parent of Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) that is planning to use the aircraft for a new start-up carrier in the Middle East. KLM cityhopper has already parked the first 6 of its 20 Fokker 100. 25.02.2009 - Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) has suspended ACMI operations on February 18 and has been liquidated in the meantime. It had operated three B757-200s on a wet-lease agreement on behalf of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV/Jeddah). 15.12.2008 - Eagle Aviation (France) (EGN/St. Nazaire) has retired both of its A300-600Rs that will now be converted into freighters for FedEx Express (FX/Memphis). It has added a third ex-Primaris Airlines B757-200 instead and continues to operate all of its aircraft exclusively for Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV/Jeddah). |
