Lufthansa has launched the Riyadh route from Munich on short notice as a replacement for a previously planned Munich-Tehran service that has been cancelled. It has also given up its Nuremberg-Brussels Ntl, Stuttgart-Barcelona and Stuttgart-Hanover routes on March 27 and has not resumed seasonal services from Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel to Ronne and Sarmellek this summer season. Lufthansa will also not operate its seasonal service from Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel to Innsbruck anymore next winter. Despite earlier announcements, it has not dropped its Berlin Tegel-Paris CDG route and Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings (EW/Dusseldorf Intl) still operates three daily CRJ-900 services between the two capitals. Lufthansa has temporarily wet-leased a CRJ-200 from Adria Airways (JP/Ljubljana) for some regional services during August. It also uses an A320-200 of subsidiary bmi british midland for Lufthansa services from London Heathrow to Cologne/Bonn and Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel since late March.

29.08.2010 - Sky Srpska (Banja Luka) has now delayed its launch to 2011 but has however signed a cooperation agreement with Adria Airways (JP/Ljubljana) allowing it to sell seats on the Adria Airways flights from Banja Luka to Ljubljana.

24.01.2010 - Adria Airways (JP/Ljubljana) will launch six times weekly CRJ-200 service from Ljubljana to Belgrade on March 1. It has however given up its Ljubljana-Ohrid route. Adria will be forced to move its operations from Ljubljana to Maribor between April 7 and April 20 when Ljubljana airport will be closed for runway renovation works. easyJet (U2/London Luton) will temporarily suspend its London Luton-Ljubljana route during this period. Jat Airways (JU/Belgrade) will move its services to Portoroz and Turkish Airlines (TK/Istanbul Ataturk) is reportedly also considering serving Maribor. It is unclear at this point what alternatives will be chosen by Air France (AF/Paris CDG), CSA Czech Airlines (OK/Prague) and Montenegro Airlines (YM/Podgorica), the other carriers serving Ljubljana on a scheduled basis.

24.01.2010 - Brussels Airlines (SN/Brussels) will add a fifth ex-Malaysia Airlines (MH/Kuala Lumpur Intl) A330-300 to its fleet this summer and is also considering leasing a fifth A319-100. It has launched four times daily Brussels Ntl-London Heathrow service on January 11 replacing its own London Gatwick route and services on the same route previously operated by sister carrier bmi british midland (BD/East Midlands). It has wet-leased two ERJ-145s from bmi regional (BD/Aberdeen) for its routes from Brussels to Bristol and Newcastle. Brussels Airlines has started codesharing with Star Alliance partners Adria Airways (JP/Ljubljana), EgyptAir (MS/Cairo), Spanair (JK/Palma de Mallorca) and TAP Portugal (TP/Lisbon) covering routes between Brussels Ntl and the home countries of the other carriers. Brussels Airlines is planning to set-up Korongo (Lubumbashi) with a single B737-300. The new carrier is planning to operate domestic services in the Democratic Republic of Congo and also offering connections to the Kinshasa NDjili-Brussels Ntl services operated by Brussels Airlines on a daily basis. It had previously planned to set-up airDC as a joint venture with HBA - Hewa Bora Airways (EO/Kinshasa NDjili) but that plan had failed.
