Air Berlin has signed a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways (PG/Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) allowing its passengers to connect via Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, Ko Samui and Phuket. It has however not launched its previously announced winter only service between Nuremberg and Cairo and stopped plans for a new Stuttgart-Porto route in 2010. Air Berlin has also given up its Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel-Helsinki route on January 3 and will terminate its Cologne/Bonn-Graz and Stuttgart-Cagliari routes by the end of March and its Hanover-Stockholm Arlanda services on April 30.

11.10.2009 - Air France (AF/Paris CDG) is planning to slash up to 1500 jobs as a result of capacity cuts of 5% for passenger and 15% for cargo services. It has given up its routes from London City to Nice and Paris CDG already and will terminate its London City-Strasbourg and Paris CDG-Shannon routes on October 24. It has launched a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways (PG/Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) offering its passengers domestic connections within Thailand and to Cambodia and Laos in July. As of September it now also has a bilateral codeshare agreement with Armavia (U8/Yerevan) on the Paris CDG-Yerevan route. Air France-KLM is reportedly interested in taking a minority stake in JAL – Japan Airlines (JL/Tokyo Haneda) together with its alliance partner Delta Air Lines (DL/Atlanta) while the current JAL partner in the United States, American Airlines (AA/Dallas/Fort Worth) has also declared its interest in a similar minority stake.

09.02.2008 - AeBal Aerolineas Baleares (DF/Palma de Mallorca) has leased an additional ex-Bangkok Airways (PG/Bangkok) B717-200.

09.12.2007 - Avanti Air (AX/Siegerland) has wet-leased its single ATR 72-200 to Bangkok Airways (PG/Bangkok) for the winter season).
