29.08.2010 - Air Samara (Samara) is planning to start operations later this year with three An-148-100s. The regional government of the Samara region owns 51% of the carrier and has financed the order for the new aircraft. Polet (YQ/Voronezh) has taken a 30% stake in the new regional carrier currently in the start-up process. The remaining 19% will be owned by Samara airport. 29.08.2010 - Polet (YQ/Voronezh) has added its first three of five ex-American Eagle Airlines (MQ/Dallas/Fort Worth) Saab 340s. It is planning to add up to 10 additional Saab 340s from the same source over the next couple of years to increase its regional domestic services in Russia. It has already launched twice daily Saab 340 service from Moscow Domodedovo to Lipetsk and has operated a seasonal weekly Saab 2000 service from Voronezh via Samara to Khanty-Mansiysk between June 7 and August 30. Polet is also planning to lease up to four Tu-204 freighters for its cargo division. 11.10.2009 - Armavia (U8/Yerevan) has added two ex-Georgian Airways (A9/Tbilisi) and Lufthansa CityLine (CL/Cologne/Bonn) CRJ-200s for regional services. It has also launched new routes: Yerevan-Astrakhan: weekly CRJ-200 service has started on July 14 Yerevan-Batumi: weekly seasonal CRJ-200 service Yerevan-Kharkov: weekly A319-100 service has started on July 27 Yerevan-Rome Fiumicino: 2x weekly A319-100/CRJ-200 service has started on July 15 Armavia is also planning to add two Dash 8-300s to add more regional services and to resume air services to Stepanakert in the semi-autonomous republic of Nagorno Karakabh. It has signed a codeshare agreement with KMV - Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody (KV/Mineralnye Vody) and Polet (YQ/Voronezh) for the Yerevan-Mineralnye Vody services operated by KMV and the Yerevan-Voronezh route served by Polet. 11.10.2009 - Darwin Airline (0D/Lugano) has added a fifth ex-Polet (YQ/Voronezh) Saab 2000 to its fleet. 11.10.2009 - Polet (YQ/Voronezh) has taken delivery of its first two Il-96-400T freighters and has launched scheduled cargo services between Moscow Domodedovo and Yakutsk. It is considering adding up to 35 Saab 340s to massively increase its regional passenger services. |
