29.08.2010 - Onur Air (8Q/Istanbul Ataturk) has leased three additional ex-Blue Wings, ex-GoAir (G8/Mumbai) and ex-Mandala Airlines (RI/Jakarta Intl) A320-200s. It has also leased three ex-Dragonair (KA/Hong Kong), Iberworld Airlines (TY/Palma de Mallorca) and Malaysia Airlines (MH/Kuala Lumpur Intl) A330-300s that it will operate on behalf of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV/Jeddah). Onur Air is planning to set-up an Egyptian subsidiary in December using two aircraft that will operate incoming charter services from European airports. It hopes to be able to make better use of its capacity through this new carrier as charter demand to Turkey is weak in winter. Onur has wet-leased an A321-200 to Cham Wings Airlines (6Q/Damascus).
