In other news, it has also announced plans to add flights from Belgrade to Dortmund and London Luton to its network later this spring but final plans have not yet been confirmed. Wizz has however given up its Bratislava-Rome Fiumicino and Budapest-Paris Beauvais routes earlier this month and has not launched its previously announced winter route from Bucharest Baneasa to Grenoble.

It has also announced plans to base a third aircraft in Prague next year to make up for the loss of capacity because of the SkyEurope bankruptcy but has not yet announced any new routes for the additional aircraft. Wizz Air is reportedly also considering launching a new subsidiary in Russia.

Prague-Oslo Torp: 4x weekly A320-200 service starting on July 12
Prague-Thessaloniki: weekly seasonal A320-200 service starting on July 24
Varna-London Luton: 2x weekly seasonal A320-200 service between June 13 and September 19
It has already given up its Budapest-Oslo Torp, Katowice-Glasgow Prestwick, Poznan-Glasgow Prestwick and Poznan-Milan Orio al Serio routes.

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) has reacted to the financial problems of SkyEurope Airlines (NE/Bratislava) by very quickly setting up a new base in Prague:
Cluj-Bologna Forli: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on June 13 (replacing route to Bologna Marconi announced earlier)
Katowice-Bologna Forli: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 30 (replacing route to Bologna Marconi)
Kiev Borispol-Antalya: 3x weekly seasonal A320-200 service starting on May 14 (operated by Wizz Air Ukraine (WU/Kiev Borispol))
Prague-Brussels Charleroi: 3x weekly A320-200 service has started on February 19

Wizz has given up its Wroclaw-Dortmund route last month. Wizz Air has also given up plans for a new route linking Bucharest Baneasa and Bologna Marconi in the meantime as no competition with Windjet (IV/Catania) routes out of Forli reportedly was one of the conditions of a new favourable agreement between Forli airport and Wizz. Wizz Air Ukraine has announced plans to launch new routes from Kiev Borispol and Simferopol to Moscow this summer season if it is able to secure slots and traffic rights.

Budapest-Naples: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 29
Budapest-Oslo Torp: 2x weekly A320-200 service resuming on March 31

It has moved its Warsaw-Rome route from Ciampino to Fiumicino and will also move its Katowice-Girona and Sofia-Girona routes to Barcelona on January 14. Wizz Air has advanced the launch of its new base in Timisoara from March 11 to February 15 but has given up its Katowice-London Stansted, Warsaw-Belfast Intl and Wroclaw-Doncaster/Sheffield routes. It has announced its interest to open a base in Belgrade if the Serbian government is willing to grant the necesssary traffic rights for services to EU countries.

Kiev Borispol-Zaporozhye: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on September 16
Sofia-Girona: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on September 15 (replacing service to Barcelona)
Warsaw-Rome Ciampino: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on September 16
It has however not launched its planned Sofia-Izmir route.

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) has founded a new subsidiary Wizz Air Ukraine (WU/Kiev Borispol) that will start domestic operations in Ukraine on July 11:
Budapest-Tirgu Mures: 3x weekly A320-200 service has resumed on May 15 (replacing route to Cluj)
Kiev Borispol-Lviv: 6x weekly A320-200 service starting on July 11
Kiev Borispol-Odessa: 6x weekly A320-200 service starting on July 11

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) is planning to go public at the London Stock Exchange before the end of the year. It will launch two new seasonal routes from its Budapest base:
Budapest-Thessaloniki: weekly A320-200 service between June 12 and September 18

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) will launch a weekly seasonal A320-200 service from Warsaw to Grenoble on November 25. Wizz will replace its Budapest-Amsterdam route with a three times weekly Budapest-Eindhoven service as of October 31. It has however given up its Warsaw-Kaunas route. Wizz is reportedly planning to add Istanbul to its network soon.

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) will add a fifth base in Sofia in 2006. It will set-up a new subsidiary in Bulgaria operating a single A320-200 to launch non-stop services to European destinations. It will also introduce weekly seasonal A320-200 services from Budapest to Kerkyra and Rhodes on June 17.

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) will add Amsterdam to its network on December 1 when it will launch four weekly services from Budapest and three weekly flights from Katowice using A320-200s.

Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) has ordered 12 additional A320-200s (plus 12 options) from Airbus to be delivered in 2007 and 2008. It will also take delivery of three additional leased A320-200s between October 2006 and April 2007. While it has given up its Katowice-Palma de Mallorca and Warsaw-Girona routes, it will add six times weekly A320-200 service from Warsaw to Kaunas and five weekly flights to Budapest and Dortmund on December 1. It will also resume four times weekly service between Gdansk and Stockholm Skavsta.
