Amsterdam Airlines (WD/Amsterdam) has wet-leased its single A320-200 to Air Vallée (DO/Aosta) for charter services out of Milan Malpensa.
EuroAtlantic Airways (MM/Lisbon) has added a fourth ex-VRG Linhas Aéreas (RG/Rio de Janeiro Intl) B767-300ER. It has wet-leased its single L-1011-500 to TACV - Cabo Verde Airlines (VR/Praia) and one of its B767-300ERs to subsidiary STP Airways (Sao Tome).
Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) has announced several new services for the upcoming winter timetable period and will set up a new base in Timisoara:
Cluj-Paris Beauvais: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on December 18
Gdansk-Rome Fiumicino: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on October 28
Katowice-Bologna Marconi: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on October 27
Poznan-Milan Orio al Serio: weekly A320-200 service starting on January 17
Timisoara-Barcelona: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 12
Timisoara-Dortmund: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on December 18
Timisoara-London Luton: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on October 27
Timisoara-Milan Orio al Serio: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 12
Timisoara-Paris Beauvais: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 13
Timisoara-Rome Fiumicino: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on December 17
Timisoara-Valencia: 2x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 11
Timisoara-Venice Marco Polo: 3x weekly A320-200 service starting on March 12

It has however given up its Katowice-Bournemouth, Katowice-Coventry, Poznan-Malmö and Sofia-Barcelona route on September 13 and will terminate its Budapest-Oslo Torp route on October 4.
Transaero Airlines (UN/Moscow Domodedovo) has postponed plans for an initial public offering of a minority of its shares. It has added two additional ex-Gulf Air (GF/Bahrain) B767-300ERs to its growing longhaul fleet and has taken delivery of its first of four B777-200s. It has also announced new services:
St. Petersburg-Ekaterinburg: 5x weekly B737-500 service starting on October 26
Transaero has however given up its Moscow Domodedovo-Amritsar route and will terminate its St. Petersburg-Tokyo Narita services on October 16.
Moskovia Airlines (3R/Moscow Zhukovsky) has launched weekly Tu-154M service from Moscow Domodedovo to Nukus on August 12. It has also added an ex-Ladoga Tu-154B2.
British Airways (BA/London Heathrow) and Iberia (IB/Madrid) have entered into advanced talks about an all-share merger between the two oneworld alliance carriers. Both carriers would continue to operate using their own brands if the merger plans go ahead. BA has placed an order for six B777-300ERs and took options for another four aircraft. It will also add five ex-easyJet (U2/London Luton) A320-200s to its fleet. British Airways has confirmed plans for twice daily 32-seat A318-100 services between London City and New York and announced that outbound flights from London to New York would stop in Shannon for refuelling and US immigration.
Groznyavia (GOZ/Grozny) has launched a daily service between Grozny and Moscow Vnukovo using its Yak-42D.
easyJet (U2/London Luton) has converted orders for 25 A319-100s to A320-200s and announced plans to reduce its capacity at London Stansted airport by 12% this winter. It has announced a variety of new routes instead:
London Gatwick-Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen: daily A319-100 service starting on December 12
London Gatwick-Rome Fiumicino: 2x daily A319-100 service starting on November 3 (replacing existing service to Ciampino)
London Gatwick-Salzburg: 3x weekly A319-100 service starting on December 13
Lyon-Bastia: 2x weekly A319-100 service starting on December 12
Milan Malpensa-Rome Fiumicino: 4x daily A319-100 service starting on November 3
Milan Malpensa-Stockholm Arlanda: daily A319-100 service starting on October 20
Paris CDG-Casablanca: daily A319-100 service starting on October 27
Paris CDG-Tangiers: 3x weekly A319-100 service starting on October 28
It will cut several routes later at the end of the summer timetable period in early November:

Luxair (LG/Luxembourg) has ordered a fourth Dash 8-400 that will be delivered in late 2009 to replace an ERJ-145. It will add a stop in Saarbrücken to one of its six weekly ERJ-135/ERJ-145 services between Luxembourg and Prague as of October 26. The government of Luxembourg has acquired the 12.15% minority stake of Bank Fortis in the national carrier and now owns 23.10%.
Sun-Air (EZ/Billund) has launched three times weekly Do328-110 service between Billund and Gdansk on August 24.

VolaSalerno (ORI/Salerno) will launch scheduled services out of Salerno near Naples using a BAe 146-300 wet-leased from OrionAir (Spain) (ORI/Valencia):
Salerno-Barcelona: 2x weekly service starting on August 2
Salerno-Bucharest Baneasa: 2x weekly service starting on August 4
Salerno-Milan Malpensa: 2x daily service starting on August 2
Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) has announced plans to significantly increase capacity on its domestic routes in Spain from the Palma de Mallorca hub this winter season. It will launch weekly B737-700 service from Saarbrücken to Zurich on November 1.
Skyways Express (JZ/Stockholm Arlanda) has already ceased its Stockholm Arlanda-Luxembourg route.
Flybe. (BE/Exeter) will give up its Exeter-Norwich route on September 22.
Blue 1 (KF/Helsinki) will wet-lease two Fokker 50 from Skyways Express (JZ/Stockholm Arlanda) for some of its services from Stockholm Arlanda to Tampere and Vaasa.
Robin Hood Aviation (RH/Graz) has temporarily suspended its Linz-Zurich route until September 1 and has wet-leased one of its two Saab 340s to Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbruecken) in the meantime.
Rossiya (FV/St. Petersburg) is reportedly considering taking a stake in Vladivostok Air (XF/Vladivostok).
Air Europa (UX/Palma de Mallorca) will lease the EMB-195s originally ordered for the failed Universal Airlines (Spain) (Palma de Mallorca) project.
Ryanair (FR/Dublin) has announced its plans to cut capacity at London Stansted by 14% and in Dublin by 18% this winter season. It has also announced that it will temporarily stop all services to Basle/Mulhouse, Budapest, Krakow, Palma de Mallorca, Rzeszow, Salzburg and Valencia between November 4 and December 18 unless the airports grant the reductions in landing and handling fees Ryanair has demanded. It has announced other new services instead:
Alicante-Leeds/Bradford: 3x weekly service starting on October 28
Alicante-Palma de Mallorca: 3x weekly service starting on December 20
Alicante-Zaragoza: daily service (already launched)
Girona-Ibiza: 3x weekly service starting on November 4

Girona-Turin: 3x weekly service resuming on October 28
London Luton-Biarritz: 3x weekly service starting on November 4

London Stansted-Fuerteventura: 3x weekly service starting on October 28
London Stansted-Ibiza: 3x weekly service starting on October 28
London Stansted-Katowice: daily service starting on October 27
London Stansted-Malaga: 3x weekly service starting on October 28

It will suspend its services from Bournemouth to Nantes and Palma de Mallorca, from Dusseldorf Weeze to Trapani and Valencia as well as from Stockholm Skavsta to Basel/Mulhouse, Marseilles, Trapani and Valencia for the winter season.
Sky Airlines (SHY/Antalya) has added another ex-ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH/Tokyo Haneda) A320-200.
