Lufthansa Cargo (LH/Frankfurt International) will further reduce its active MD-11F freighter fleet from 16 to 13 aircraft in October after it had already parked three MD-11Fs earlier.

Lufthansa CityLine (CL/Cologne/Bonn) has taken delivery of its first EMB-195.

Luzair (LUZ/Lisbon) has leased a first ex-TAM Linhas Aéreas (JJ/Sao Paulo Congonhas) B767-300ER.

Manx2 (NM/Isle of Man) has launched five times weekly service from the Isle of Man to Newcastle.

Martinair (MP/Amsterdam) has already terminated its Amsterdam-Miami services on September 5. According to Dutch and French news reports Martinair has already returned two of its six B767-300ERs to the lessors and is reportedly going to take over all freighters from Air France (AF/Paris CDG) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL/Amsterdam) and become an all cargo carrier.

MAT Macedonian Airlines (IN/Skopje) has not resumed operations anymore after its single B737-500 has returned from scheduled maintenance work in Belgrade leaving Macedonia without an own scheduled carrier.

MCA Airlines (MCA/Stockholm Arlanda) has wet-leased its single Fokker 100 to Petro Air (PEO/Tripoli Intl). It has added more scheduled services:
Amsterdam-Stockholm Arlanda-Erbil: weekly A320-200 service (already launched)
Oslo Gardermoen-Gothenburg Landvetter-Erbil: weekly A320-200 service has started on September 16
Stockholm Arlanda-Basra: weekly A320-200 service has started on September 12

Medallion Air (MDP/Bucharest Baneasa) is planning to lease several additional MD-83s.

Meridiana (IG/Olbia) is launching new domestic routes making use of the void left by the bankruptcy of MyAir:
Verona-Naples: daily A319-100/MD-80 service starting on October 25
Venice Marco Polo-Bari: 4x weekly MD-80 service starting on October 25
Venice Marco Polo-Catania: daily MD-80 service has started on August 7
Meridiana has again been awarded the public service obligation routes from Catania to Lampedusa, from Palermo to Lampedusa and Pantelleria and from Trapani to Pantelleria.

Miniliner (MNL/Milan Orio al Serio) has added an eight ex-FedEx Express (FX/Memphis) Fokker 27-500F freighter.

Mistral Air (7M/Rome Ciampino) has returned its two BAe 146-200QT freighters to the lessors but has wet-leased an ATR 42-300F freighter from Air Contractors (AG/Dublin) instead.

MK Airlines (7G/London Gatwick) has successfully emerged from administration on June 24 after approximately one year. It has entered into a cooperation agreement with Royal Jordanian (RJ/Amman Queen Alia) that will see the two carriers offering joint cargo services.

MNG Airlines (MB/Istanbul Ataturk) has placed a follow-on order for additional two A330-200F freighters. It now has four aircraft of the type on order.

Monarch Airlines (ZB/London Luton) is launching several new routes to the Canary Islands:
Birmingham-Fuerteventura: weekly A320-200 service starting on October 21
Birmingham-Las Palmas: weekly A321-200 service starting on October 19
London Gatwick-Fuerteventura: weekly A321-200 service starting on October 21
London Gatwick-Las Palmas: 2x weekly A321-200 service starting on October 19
London Luton-Fuerteventura: weekly A320-200 service starting on October 21
Manchester-Fuerteventura: 2x weekly A321-200 service starting on October 21
Manchester-Las Palmas: 2x weekly A321-200 service starting on October 19

Montenegro Airlines (YM/Podgorica) has added new routes to its network with an emphasis on connecting services via Podgorica:
Podgorica-Dusseldorf Intl: 2x weekly Fokker 100 service starting on October 10
Podgorica-London Gatwick: 3x weekly Fokker 100 service starting on October 28
Podgorica-Pristina: daily Fokker 100 service (already launched)
Podgorica-Skopje: daily Fokker 100 service (already launched)
It has stored its single Fokker 28-4000. El Al Israel Airlines (LY/Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) has pulled out of the bidding process for a minority stake in Montenegro Airlines.

Moskovia Airlines (3R/Moscow Zhukovsky) has added a second ex-Sterling Airlines B737-700.

Motor Sich Airlines (M9/Zaporozhye) has stopped its scheduled services from Zaporozhye to Kiev Borispol and Moscow Vnukovo. Its only remaining scheduled service is a twice weekly An-140 service between Zaporozhye and Istanbul Ataturk.

MyAir (8I/Milan Orio al Serio) has suspended operations on July 24 after the Italian civil aviation authority ENAC had pulled its license because of severe financial difficulties at the carrier. It had operated two A320-200s and four CRJ-900s.

New Axis Airways (9X/Marseilles) has given up its scheduled services from Marseilles and Paris CDG to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion. It will concentrate on charter services again going forward.

Niki (HG/Vienna) is planning to add three additional A320-200s and an EMB-190 in 2010 to fill the void left in Vienna by the SkyEurope bankruptcy. Two of the aircraft will be dry leased from its partner Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel). Niki has announced plans to operate to Cagliari, Jerez de la Frontera and Olbia during the summer season. It will launch several new seasonal services out of Graz and Vienna this winter:
Graz-Las Palmas-Tenerife Sur-Graz: weekly seasonal A321-200 service starting on November 7
Graz-Nuremberg: weekly seasonal A320-200 service starting on November 3
Vienna-Belgrade: 6x weekly EMB-190 service starting on February 1
Vienna-Bucharest Otopeni: 6x weekly A319-100/EMB-190 service starting on February 1
Vienna-Sofia: 6x weekly A319-100/A320-200 service starting on February 1
