    Gestair Cargo (RGN, Madrid Barajas) has retired its only B767-300(F) (EC-LKI , MSN 26544) from its fleet, leaving it with only two B757-200(F) type freighters. Formerly Cygnus Air, the cargo specialist is owned by Macholfam International (Grupo Gestair) and IMES (Grupo ACS) and primarily operates for Spanish national carrier Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) and TNT Airways (3V, Liège).

    TNT Airways (3V, Liège) will also move its six times weekly scheduled B777-F service from Liège via Dubai Int'l to Hong Kong Chep Lap Kok from Dubai International to Dubai World Central when its partner Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) will move its SkyCargo full freighter operations to the new airport. The exact date of the proposed move of both carriers is not known yet.

    Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) president Tim Clark has told Air Transport World that the carrier would currently be preparing the move of Emirates SkyCargo's full freighter operations from Dubai International airport to Dubai World Central without specifying any date for the move yet. The move is aimed at providing more capacity for the growth of Emirates passenger operations at the current airport. Emirates operates seven B777-F freighters and wet-leases three B747-400(F) aircraft from Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK) and TNT Airways (3V, Liège).

    TNT Airways (3V, Liège) is planning to reduce its long-haul fleet of four B747-400(F) and three B777-F freighter following the failed attempt by UPS to take over its parent TNT Express. According to TNT Express' acting CEO Bernard Bot at least one B747-400 freighter is currently not required with options for the entire long-haul fleet being reviewed. While the transaction previously announced to sell TNT Airways and sister carrier Pan Air (PV, Madrid Barajas) to ASL Aviation Group will not go ahead as it was conditional on a successful acquisition of TNT Express by UPS, TNT is also still considering selling one or both of the airlines.

    Fair Aviation (Lanseria) has taken delivery of a first ex-TNT Airways (3V, Liège) Bae 146-200(QT) freighter (MSN 2067) that is currently being prepared for the South African charter and ACMI specialist at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo and then Mmabatho. It is offering the aircraft for cargo services in Africa. Fair already operates a Bae 146-200 and four Bae 146-300s.
