01MAR2013: Vista Georgia adds two B737-200s for ACMI services
Vista Georgia (AJD, Tbilisi Lochini (TBS)) has taken delivery of two ex-Vision Air International (Pakistan) (VIS, Karachi Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah International (KHI)) B737-200 Adv. aircraft (MSNs 22624 and 22625) it plans to offer for charter and ACMI services. Vista Georgia's fleet already includes B737-300 and B737-500s and it also plans to add two B737-400s as well as ATR 72s and B737NGs to its portfolio soon. Vista Georgia is the operational subsidiary of UAE based lessor Aerovista.

25DEC2012: Badr Airlines launches passenger ops with B737-500
Badr Airlines (J4, Khartoum (KRT)) has taken delivery of B737-500 4L-AJB (MSN 27354) on wet-lease from Vista Georgia (AJD, Tbilisi Lochini (TBS)). The Sudanese carrier had so far mainly operated cargo services with a fleet two Il-76s, one An-74 and two An-26s.

05OCT2012: Air Tanzania to resume domestic operations from October 10
Air Tanzania (TC, Dar-es-Salaam (DAR)) plans to yet again resume domestic operations on October 10 after getting close to finalizing an agreement with Aerovista Tanzania (VTZ, Dar-es-Salaam (DAR)) to again wet-lease B737-500 4L-AJB (MSN 27354) previously operated by Aerovista subsidiary Vista Georgia (AJD, Tbilisi Lochini (TBS)) on Air Tanzania's behalf. Air Tanzania had been forced to temporarily suspend operations after cancelling this wet-lease agreement in August because its only other aircraft, Dash 8-300 5H-MWF (c/n 474), has been on the ground on a maintenance check. It expects to now resume operations with both the B737-500 and Dash 8-300s.

15SEP2012: Aerovista receives air operator certificate in Tanzania
Aerovista Tanzania (VTZ, Dar-es-Salaam (DAR)) has been awarded an air operator certificate earlier this month. It is a subsidiary of Dubai International (DXB) based aircraft lessor Aerovista that also operates several aircraft on a wet-lease basis on behalf of other carriers. These aircraft are currently operated by subsidiary Vista Georgia (AJD, Tbilisi Lochini (TBS)) and Aerovista Tanzania is expected to be operating some B737s in Africa. Vista Georgia's B737-500 4L-AJB (MSN 27354) is currently stored at Dar-es-Salaam (DAR) following a wet-lease agreement with Air Tanzania (TC, Dar-es-Salaam (DAR)).

03SEP2012: Marsland Aviation registers first B737-500 in Sudan
Marsland Aviation (M7, Khartoum (KRT)) has now registered B737-500 ST-MRA (MSN 26439) in Sudan and has started operating the aircraft under its own operating certificate. It had previously wet-leased the aircraft from Vista Georgia (AJD, Tbilisi Lochini (TBS)) and still wet-leases two additional B737-500s from Aeolus Air (AAZ, Banjul International (BJL)) and Alexandria Airlines (XH, Cairo International (CAI)).
