Bhoja Air (B4, Karachi Int'l) has sold its only remaining serviceable aircraft, B737-400 AP-BKF (MSN 27004) to Shaheen Air International (NL, Karachi Int'l). Bhoja had lost its operating license following the fatal crash of one of its two B737-200 Adv.s on approach to Islamabad in April. This is Shaheen's third B737-400 with additional B737-400s expected to be added to its fleet to replace its B737-200 Adv. fleet currently consisting of nine aircraft.

Bhoja Air (B4, Karachi Int'l) has lost its air operator certificate, at least temporarily, following the crash of its B737-200 Adv. AP-BKC (MSN 23167) at Islamabad on April 20. The Pakistani civil aviation authority has revoked its air operator certificate last week on the basis that Bhoja Air currently does not operate the minimum number of aircraft required to hold an AOC for scheduled passenger transportation. According to the CAA's rules at least three aircraft would be required, but Bhoja Air is only left with one B737-200Adv. and one B737-400 at the moment although it had plans to add two more ex-Comair (South Africa) (MN, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) B737-200Adv. aircraft at a later stage. Bhoja Air is however still selling flights from June 10 onwards, so is apparently assuming it will be able to resume operations shortly.

Bhoja Air (B4, Karachi Int'l) plans to resume domestic scheduled operations in spring 2012 initially deploying a fleet of four ex-Comair (South Africa) (MN, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) B737-200s and an ex-Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya) B737-400. It plans to serve Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Sukkur from its Karachi Int'l base.
