08NOV2012: MHS Aviation to resume services between Mannheim and Berlin Tegel
MHS Aviation (Germany) (MHV, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) has announced the resumption of scheduled services between Mannheim City (MHG) and Berlin Tegel (TXL) from January 21, 2013 onwards. The route was left unserved for more than a year after the bankruptcy of Cirrus Airlines (C9, Saarbrücken Ensheim (SCN)) in January 2012. MHS is owned by German aviation entrepreneur Gerd Brandecker who also previously owned Cirrus Airlines. It will serve the route twice weekdaily with its fleet of Do328-100s.

OLT Express Germany (OL, Bremen Neuenland (BRE)) has reached an agreement with the administrators of insolvent Cirrus Airlines (C9, Saarbrücken Ensheim (SCN)) to take over the company for an undisclosed sum. OLT plans to base three 100 seat aircraft, possibly EMB-190s, at Saarbrücken Ensheim (SCN) and take over 100 Cirrus employees marketing, sales and distribution department as well as the technical services and tour operating divisions of Cirrus. Brussels National Zaventem (BRU), Copenhagen Kastrup (CPH), Vienna International (VIE) and Zurich Kloten (ZRH) have been mentioned as possible destinations from Saarbrücken.
