25FEB2013: Air Alsie plans to launch Sønderborg-Copenhagen flights
Air Alsie (MMD, Sønderborg) plans to establish scheduled operations between Sønderborg and Copenhagen Kastrup in competition to DAT - Danish Air Transport (DX, Kolding) with a group of local investors from Southern Denmark. It plans to lease either an ATR 42 or ATR 72 turboprop to launch the flights. Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg) had been replaced on the route by Danish Air Transport following its bankruptcy. DAT currently offers up to four daily round-trips on the route with ATR 42s. Air Alsie operates a fleet of approximately twenty business jets already but has so far not operated scheduled services.

22SEP2012: Sun-Air wet-leases 3 Do328 turboprops from MHS Aviation
Sun-Air (EZ, Billund) currently wet-leases three Do328-100s from German charter carrier MHS Aviation (Germany) (MHV, Munich). It needs the additional aircraft because of all of its new routes recently opened making use of the void left by City Airline (CF, Gothenburg Landvetter) and Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg).

08AUG2012: Swedish start-up Sky4u set-up by former Cimber/Skyways management
Sky4u (Stockholm Arlanda) is a new regional start-up carrier backed by the former management team of Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg) and Skyways (JZ, Stockholm Arlanda). While not much is yet known about the new carrier, its managing director is former Skyways MD Mikael Wångdahl and its chairman former Cimber Sterling CEO Jan Palmér.

27JUL2012: Cimber to add ATR 72 to CRJ-200 fleet for Copenhagen-Billund route
Cimber (QA, Sønderborg) will add a single ATR 72 to its fleet of four CRJ-200s currently operated on a wet-lease agreement on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup). It will use the aircraft to operate up to five daily flights from Copenhagen Kastrup to Billund on behalf of SAS from August 13. Cimber's precedessor Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg) used to operate on the route itself.
