    InterSky (3L, Friedrichshafen Bodensee (FDH)) has sold one of its four Dash 8-300s to Maldivian (Q2, Malé Ibrahim Nasir International (MLE)). German investment company Intro Aviation has acquired a 74.9% stake in the Austrian regional carrier. Intro is backed by Hans-Rudolf Wöhrl and had previously also acquired and managed dba (DI, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) and LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) prior to selling these airlines to Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel (TXL)). It has most recently set-up and then sold Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)) to Germania (ST, Berlin Tegel (TXL)).

    Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel (TXL)) has fully taken over LTU Intl Airways (LT/Dusseldorf) and its subsidiary LTU Austria (L3/Austria). It has also taken a 49% stake in Belair Airlines (4T/Zurich) from Swiss tour operator Hotelplan. LTU and Belair will continue to operate as separate carriers in close cooperation with Air Berlin. In other news, Air Berlin has completed the integration of dba (DI/Munich), all dba operated flights will operate with Air Berlin flight numbers as of May 1. Air Berlin has also announced that it will not renew its codeshare agreement with TUIfly (Germany) (X3/Hanover) and is considering a closer cooperation with Condor (DE/Frankfurt Intl) instead. It has wet-leased a second A320-200 from Iberworld Airlines (TY/Palma de Mallorca). Air Berlin will launch four times weekly B737-800/Fokker 100 service from Stuttgart to Alicante on May 6. Air Berlin has however given up its Nuremberg-Moscow Domodedovo route.

    TUIfly (Germany) (X3, Hanover (HAJ)) has been introduced as a new brand used for the carrier formed with the merger of Hapagfly and Hapag-Lloyd Express. TUIfly currently operates a fleet of 49 B737s. TUI is planning to start using the TUIfly brand for its subsidiaries Arke Fly (OR/Amsterdam), Corsair (SS/Paris Orly), Jetairfly (TB/Brussels) and Thomsonfly (BY/London Luton) over the course of the next couple of years as well. TUI has also announced an order for additional 41 B737NGs for its carriers. TUIfly has taken delivery of its first ex-dba (DI/Munich) B737-300 and announced a variety of new routes:
    Cologne/Bonn-Graz: 4x weekly B737-700 service starting on March 25
    Hamburg-Olbia: 2x weekly B737-700/-800 service starting on April 28
    Hanover-Rimini: weekly seasonal B737-500 service between July 12 and September 6
    Leipzig/Halle-Milan Orio al Serio: 4x weekly B737-300 service starting on March 25
    It will also move its routes from Hanover and Stuttgart to Milan back from Malpensa to Orio al Serio as of March 25.

    dba (DI, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) has wet-leased both Germania (ST/Berlin Tegel) Fokker 100s that were previously operated for Hapag-Lloyd Express (X3/Cologne/Bonn). dba has moved its Cologne/Bonn-Berlin route from Tempelhof back to Tegel and has given up its Stuttgart-Hanover route.
