16MAY2013: Italy's Air Vallée to resume Turin - Pescara from late June
Air Vallée (DO, Aosta Corrado Gex (AOT)) is eyeing a services resumption date of June 26. Reports state that initial scheduled services will include a resumption of 4x weekly Pescara Abruzzo International (PSR) to Turin Caselle (TRN) flights operated with an EMB-120 wet-leased from Hungary's Budapest Aircraft Services (BPS, Budapest Ferenc Liszt International (BUD)). According to the airline, the Turin - Pescara route is primarily a corporate one ferrying FIAT and Iveco suits to factories and plants located in the south of Italy. However, given the economic downturn in Italy, the route's viability, and that of Air Vallée, has been badly affected.

It had initially planned to build up Parma as its largest base in its network serving a wide range of destinations with larger aircraft including a MD-83 temporarily wet-leased from Medallion Air (MDP, Bucharest Baneasa (BBU)). Air Vallée will now continue to operate just a single scheduled route between Turin Caselle (TRN) and Pescara Abruzzo International (PSR) that it has already served for years.

21APR2012
Air Vallée (DO, Aosta Corrado Gex (AOT)) has given up plans to wet-lease Fokker 100s from Trade Air (8P, Zagreb Pleso (ZAG)) this summer season and instead plans to add an ATR 72-500 to its fleet. It has met with the Italian civil aviation authority ENAC this week which has reportedly asked Air Vallée to immediately adjust its schedule and explain to ENAC how it expects to operate its schedule this summer season and how passengers booked on cancelled flights will be reprotected on other airlines.
