08FEB2013: Suckling Airways to be integrated into Loganair
Suckling Airways (CB, Cambridge (CBG)) is expected to be fully integrated into parent Loganair (LM, Glasgow Abbotsinch International (GLA)) by the end of next month. Loganair had acquired the regional carrier in 2011 and Suckling currently operates a fleet of six Do328-100 turboprops on charter services and on a wet-lease basis on behalf of Cityjet (WX, Dublin International (DUB)), Direktflyg (HS, Borlänge/Falun (BLE)), Loganair and Sun-Air (EZ, Billund (BLL)).

16JAN2013: BA franchisee Sun-Air sells last own Do328-110
Sun-Air (EZ, Billund (BLL)) has sold its last Do328-100 OY-NCA (c/n 3047) to SNC - Sierra Nevada (Reno/Tahoe International (RNO)) which will prepare the aircraft for operations by the United States Air Force (MC, Washington Ronald Reagan National (DCA)). The Danish British Airways (BA, London Heathrow (LHR)) franchise operator now just operates a fleet of eight Do328-300s, some of which are operated on behalf of sister carrier JoinJet (Billund (BLL)), one Jetstream 31, one Jetstream 32 as well as three Do328-100s wet-leased from MHS Aviation (Germany) (MHV, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) and Suckling Airways (CB, Cambridge (CBG)).

26NOV2012: Sun-Air considering resumption of Danish domestic route
Sun-Air (EZ, Billund (BLL)) is considering resuming flights between Copenhagen Kastrup (CPH) and Thisted (TED) in Denmark's Jutland region in cooperation with the regional authorities in Thisted. The route had last been served in 2007 and the airport has been without scheduled service since then and if served again would be Sun-Air only domestic route in Denmark. Sun-Air operates a Do328-100, four Do328-300s and a Jetstream 31 and Jetstream 32 on regional services from Aalborg (AAL), Aarhus Tirstrup (AAR) and Billund (BLL) as a British Airways (BA, London Heathrow (LHR)) franchisee.

It needs the additional aircraft because of all of its new routes recently opened making use of the void left by City Airline (CF, Gothenburg Landvetter (GOT)) and Cimber Sterling (QI, Sønderborg (SGD)).

01JUL2012: Sun-Air to take over Augsburg-Marseilles scheduled charters
Sun-Air (EZ, Billund (BLL)) will start operating the twice weekdaily scheduled charter service on behalf of helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter (Marseilles Provence (MRS)) between Augsburg (AGB) and Marseilles Provence (MRS) from August 20. It will use Do328-300s on the route currently served by German charter operator Private Wings (8W, Berlin Schönefeld (SXF)). The flights will continue to operate under OLT Express Germany (OL, Bremen Neuenland (BRE)) flight numbers as OLT has a reservation management contract with EADS that covers scheduled charter operations on EADS' behalf by Germania (ST, Berlin Tegel (TXL)), Private Wings and now Sun-Air.
