13JAN2013: CAA and flyCongo to jointly sell as Fly CAA
CAA - Compagnie Africaine d'Aviation (Kinshasa N'Dolo (NLO)) and its competitor flyCongo (EO, Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH)) have entered into a cooperation agreement in October that includes wide ranging commercial and technical cooperation between the two carriers. As of later this year, they are expected to jointly sell their services under the Fly CAA brand. Although both carriers currently still operate independently, CAA is said to be planning to eventually acquire flyCongo. CAA currently operates three A320-200s, a Fokker 100 and four Fokker 50s on domestic services within the Democratic Republic of Congo while flyCongo operates two MD-82s on domestic flights and a single B767-200 that operates from Kinshasa via Lubumbashi Luano International (FBM) to Johannesburg Oliver Reginald Tambo International (JNB) twice weekly.

flyCongo (EO, Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH)) has launched a weekly cargo service linking Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH) with Brussels National Zaventem (BRU) on October 18. It offers the weekly flight in cooperation with UK cargo broker Magma Aviation and uses myCargo Airlines (9T, Istanbul Atatürk/Yesilköy International (IST)) B747-400(F)s on the route.

flyCongo (EO, Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH)) is planning to launch its first international route between Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH) and Johannesburg Oliver Reginald Tambo International (JNB) on June 27. It currently only operates domestic services from Kinshasa to Kisangani Bangoka International (FKI), Gemena (GMA), Goma (GOM) and Mbandaka (MDK) with a single MD-82.

flyCongo (EO, Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH)) plans to add either A320s or B737s to supplement and eventually replace its fleet of four MD-82s. It has also announced that it is evaluating various turboprops to be able to better serve regional destinations in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
