    Fly Globespan (Y2, Edinburgh (EDI)) has been placed into administration on December 16 and has been forced to suspend all operations on the same date because of financial difficulties reportedly also caused by holdbacks from its credit card acquirer E-Clear that now itself has been placed into administration. It has operated four B767-300ERs on scheduled long-haul services and ACMI contracts and a fleet of B737s on short haul services, mainly from Scotland to vacation destinations.

    Fly Globespan (Y2, Edinburgh (EDI)) will launch weekly services from Cardiff to Orlando Sanford on June 9, 2010 and from Edinburgh to Orlando Sanford on June 13, 2010 using B767-300ERs. Seasonal weekly flights from Aberdeen to Dubrovnik will be launched on May 5 already. It will return two B737-800s to the lessors by the end of the summer season and replace the two aircraft by new B737-800s that are scheduled to be delivered in spring 2010.

    Fly Globespan (Y2, Edinburgh (EDI)) has wet-leased one of its B767-300ERs to Gabon Airlines (GY/Libreville). It has retired its remaining two B737-300s. It will not resume its Edinburgh-Rome Ciampino route following by a Ryanair (FR/Dublin) announcement to launch the same route this summer.
