Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)) will be rebranded as Germania Express (L3, Berlin Schönefeld (SXF)) on July 1 to better reflect its main business which currently are wet-lease operations on behalf of sister carrier Germania (ST, Berlin Tegel (TXL)) with two A319-100s.

Gambia Bird (3G, Banjul International (BJL)) is planning to launch operations later this summer as a joint venture between the Gambian government and Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)). The new airline plans to initially serve Conakry G'bessia International (CKY) Dakar Yoff-Léopold Sédar Senghor International (DKR), Freetown Lungi International (FNA), Lagos Murtala Muhammad (LOS) from Banjul with an A319-100 operated by Flynext as well as destinations in Spain and the UK where it will also cooperate with tour operators.

InterSky (3L, Friedrichshafen Bodensee (FDH)) has sold one of its four Dash 8-300s to Maldivian (Q2, Malé Ibrahim Nasir International (MLE)). German investment company Intro Aviation has acquired a 74.9% stake in the Austrian regional carrier. Intro is backed by Hans-Rudolf Wöhrl and had previously also acquired and managed dba (DI, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) and LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) prior to selling these airlines to Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel (TXL)). It has most recently set-up and then sold Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)) to Germania (ST, Berlin Tegel (TXL)).

Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)) is a new German charter operator owned by former dba, Eurowings (EW/Dusseldorf Intl) and LTU International Airways owner Hans-Rudolf Wöhrl. It has launched operations with two A319-100s it operates on behalf of Germania (ST/Berlin Tegel).
