Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey (GCI)) has announced plans to replace its fleet of six Trislanders with three possible options (unspecified) currently under consideration. According to Mark Darby, interim CEO at the States' owned airline, the carrier is considering looking for a replacement "later on in the year." Aurigny also operates two ATR72-500s and one ATR72-200 on flights throughout the Channel Islands, the mainland United Kingdom and France.

Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey (GCI)) is planning to retire its only ATR 72-200 by March 2014. It also operates two ATR 72-500s and several Trislanders on routes from Alderney The Blaye (ACI), its home base Guernsey and Jersey (JER). Aurigny is now reviewing proposals to replace the ATR 72-200 by an additional ATR 72-500/-600, Dash 8-400 or Embraer regional jet with all models from the EMB-170 to the EMB-195 being considered according to the airline's commercial director Malcolm Coupar.

Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey (GCI)) has temporarily wet-leased Fokker 50 PH-JXK (c/n 20233) from Dutch ACMI specialist Denim Air ACMI (J7, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) to cover for its ATR 72-500 G-VZON (c/n 853) not currently available due to scheduled maintenance. The Fokker 50 is mainly used on Aurigny's key route between Guernsey and London Gatwick (LGW).

Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey (GCI)) will continue to operate as an independent carrier owned by the government of Guernsey after takeover talks with potential investor Blue Islands (SI/Alderney).

Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey (GCI)) will launch seasonal ATR 72-500 service from Guernsey to Grenoble on December 26.
