Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted (STN)) has announced that its first Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac (TLS)) A320-200, G-POWI (c/n 2791), is due to begin flight operations with Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford International (LBA)) for the duration of summer 2013 where it will be used on the Low Cost Carrier's flights to Spain from Jet2's Newcastle (NCL) base. Coincidentally, G-POWI will become Jet2's first Airbus metal to regularly feature on its network.

Ryanair (FR, Dublin International (DUB)) along with other low-cost carriers Air One (AP, Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International (FCO)), Volotea (V7, Palma de Mallorca Son Sant Joan (PMI)) and Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford International (LBA)) have all allegedly expressed interest in starting flights to Comiso (CIY), a new airport near Ragusa, south-eastern Sicily, planned to open in May/June 2013. Built on an abandoned NATO air base, Comiso's operator, Società Aeroporto Comiso, markets the facility as being ideal for Low Cost Carriers as well as an alternative to Catania Fontanarossa (CTA), whose serviceability is often undermined by the nearby active volcano, Mount Etna.

Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford International (LBA)) has suspended operations at Belfast Aldergrove International (BFS) owing to what it called "increased safety concerns due to the airport's ongoing runway resurfacing programme." For its part, airport authorities said they had received notification that "one Jet2 aircraft has been exhibited engine-related problems on three occasions," but that "no other airline, nor aircraft of the unspecified type, had reported any issues." While some flights have temporarily operated from Belfast George Best City (BHD) and Londonderry Eglinton (LDY) on April 8 and 9, Jet2 will resume operations from Belfast International on April 10 and exclusively operate on the airport's North-South runway not affected by the resurfacing work.

Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford International (LBA)) will wet-lease two instead of just one B737-800 from Czech partner Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague Vaclav Havel Ruzyne (PRG)) next summer season with one aircraft each based at East Midlands (EMA) and Leeds/Bradford International (LBA). Jet2 has decided to extend its contract with Travel Service to a second aircraft for the summer season while instead giving up plans to wet-lease an A320-200 from Hamburg Airways (HK, Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel (HAM)) for its East Midlands operations.

Hamburg Airways (HK, Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel (HAM)) will wet-lease one of its two A320-200s to Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford International (LBA)) for the upcoming summer season. The aircraft will be based at Jet2's East Midlands (EMA) base for several months. Jet2 will also use a Travel Service Airlines (QS, Prague Vaclav Havel Ruzyne (PRG)) B737-800 that will be operating from Leeds/Bradford and a Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted (STN)) B757-200 that will be operating from Manchester Ringway International (MAN) next summer.
