InterSky (3L, Friedrichshafen Bodensee (FDH)) has sold one of its four Dash 8-300s to Maldivian (Q2, Malé Ibrahim Nasir International (MLE)). German investment company Intro Aviation has acquired a 74.9% stake in the Austrian regional carrier. Intro is backed by Hans-Rudolf Wöhrl and had previously also acquired and managed dba (DI, Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC)) and LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) prior to selling these airlines to Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel (TXL)). It has most recently set-up and then sold Flynext (L3, Nuremberg (NUE)) to Germania (ST, Berlin Tegel (TXL)).

LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) has transferred its last A321-200 to parent Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel). It currently operates 13 A320-200s, 10 A330-200s and 3 A330-300s on behalf of Air Berlin.

LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) and its new parent Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) have announced plans for their future joint operations. LTU will operate all of its medium haul A320-200 and A321-200 aircraft on behalf of Air Berlin and transfer all of its European services to its parent. LTU services from Dusseldorf to Fort Myers, Los Angeles, Miami and New York JFK as well as planned new long-haul services to China (Beijing and Shanghai Pu Dong) and India (Delhi) will also operate under the Air Berlin brand while the LTU brand will continue to be used for leisure services to Africa, Asia, Canada and the Caribbean. LTU will temporarily suspend its Dusseldorf-Los Angeles route this winter season and give up its Dusseldorf-Las Vegas services on October 25.

LTU International Airways (LT, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) will lease an additional A330-200. It has announced new long-haul routes:
Berlin Tegel-Bangkok: 3x weekly A330-200 service starting on November 2
Berlin Tegel-Punta Cana: weekly A330-200 service starting on November 7 (replacing current service from Schönefeld)
Berlin Tegel-Varadero: weekly A330-200 service starting on November 6
Munich-Fort Myers: 2x weekly A330-200 service (already launched)
