08MAY2013: Proflight Zambia's first B737-200Adv ready to get down to business
Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka International (LUN)) is set to commence operations with its first B737-200 Adv., ZS-SMD (c/n 23472), leased from South Africa's Star Air (South Africa) (BRH, Johannesburg Oliver Reginald Tambo International (JNB)). The aircraft was recently seen in Lusaka International (LUN) fully painted in the airline's colours and will shortly commence flights from Lusaka to Livingstone Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International (LVI) and Ndola (NLA). In the long run, it is hoped it will be deployed onto Proflight's much anticipated début regional routes to Lilongwe Kumuzu International (LLW) and Lubumbashi Luano International (FBM).

30MAR2013: Mukuba Airlines to become Zambia's first low-cost carrier
Mukuba Airlines (Livingstone Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International (LVI)) plans to launch operations later this year with a fleet of ATR42-500s and ATR72-500s. The start-up plans to become Zambia's first low-cost carrier and initially will mainly operate domestic services from its base at Livingstone. Mukuba will compete with Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka International (LUN)) which is currently the only other scheduled airline in Zambia.

29MAR2013: Proflight to use B737-200 for domestic services in Zambia
Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka International (LUN)) plans to start using a B737-200 Adv. on domestic services from Lusaka to Ndola (NLA) twice daily and from Lusaka to Livingstone Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International (LVI) twice weekly as of May 15. It currently operates Jetstream 41s and Jetstream 32s on these services.

02MAR2013: Proflight to add B737 for Livingstone route and regional services
Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka International (LUN)) is planning to add a B737 to its fleet of three Jetstream 41s and two Jetstream 32s currently operated on domestic services in Zambia. It plans to use the aircraft on the route linking Lusaka and Livingstone Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International (LVI). Proflight now intends to launch its first international routes in April or May when it plans to launch Jetstream 41 services from Lusaka to Lilongwe Kumuzu International (LLW) and Lubumbashi Luano International (FBM).

Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka International (LUN)) plans to make use of the void left by Zambezi Airlines (ZJ, Lusaka International (LUN)) which lost its air operator certificate last November to launch its first international services from Lusaka International (LUN) to both Lubumbashi Luano International (FBM) and Harare International (HRE) later this spring.
