    KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam) and Turkish LCC, Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen), have signed codeshare and interline agreements effective May 27 for sales and June 3 for travel. Under the deals, passengers will benefit from quick and easy transfers between Pegasus flights and KLM flights at Amsterdam with KLM codesharing on Pegasus flights from Amsterdam to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen and Izmir.

    Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) is planning to offload a 34.5% stake during its initial public offering (IPO) this week. According to a filing made with the Istanbul stock exchange, of the stake, 10% will be allocated to domestic individual investors, 10% to qualified investors, 10% to domestic institutional investors and 70% to foreign institutional investors. The Turkish LCC says the offering "will help fund its expansion plans by increasing its capital from USD41million to USD57million."

    Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) plans to place a 31% stake at the Istanbul stock exchange through an initial public offering within the next three months. It hopes to raise 27 million Turkish liras (approximately $14.8 million USD) through a capital increase. Pegasus is Turkey’s largest low-cost carrier and currently operates 41 B737-800s.

    Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) has retired both of its B737-400s TC-APD (MSN 29107) and TC-APR (MSN 24685) from service by March 1 leaving it with a fleet of 41 B737-800s. The two B737-400s will be converted to freighters and then be used to launch a cargo division operating the two aircraft as full freighters. Pegasus has announced further details regarding its partnership with Kyrgyz carrier Air Manas (ZM, Bishkek). Pegasus now owns 49% in Air Manas and operates operate scheduled flights in cooperation with Air Manas under the Pegasus Asia (ZM, Bishkek) brand on a daily basis between Sabiha Gökcen and Bishkek since March 12 already as previously reported by ch-aviation. Pegasus now operates B737-800 TC-AVP (MSN 38175) on a wet-lease basis for Air Manas/Pegasus Asia on the daily service and hopes to launch new routes from Bishkek to China, Kazakhstan and Russia at a later stage.

    Air Berlin (AB, Berlin Tegel) will give up its Air Berlin Turkey (Antalya) joint venture with Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) by the end of this month and then again use its own aircraft for operations between Germany and Antalya currently operated by Pegasus Airlines with three B737-800s operated in Air Berlin Turkey colors. The two carriers will continue to codeshare on several Pegasus routes from Berlin Schönefeld, Cologne/Bonn, Dusseldorf Int'l, Munich and Stuttgart Echterdingen to Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen as well as from Sabiha Gökcen to Ankara Esenboga and Izmir. Air Berlin and subsidiaries Belair Airlines (4T, Zurich) and Niki (HG, Vienna) will serve Antalya from 19 destinations in Austria, Germany and Switzerland in the upcoming summer season.
