26APR2013: Rusline abandons charter business, offloads its A319s to Tatarstan Air
Rusline (7R, Moscow Sheremetyevo International (SVO)) has abandoned its short-lived leisure charter carrier experiment and will instead focus on its scheduled network. As a result, the two ex-easyJet (U2, London Luton (LTN)) A319-100s, VP-BDY (c/n 2442) and VP-BDZ (c/n 2446), it had taken delivery of in April 2012 have been transferred to fellow operator, Tatarstan Air (U9, Kazan International (KZN)). Tatarstan Air already operates two other A319-100s.

15APR2013: Rusline to retire EMB-120 turboprops in May, drops Ekaterinburg routes
Rusline (7R, Moscow Sheremetyevo International (SVO)) seems to be planning to retire its fleet of four EMB-120 turboprops added to its fleet following the collapse of Region Avia Airlines (L3, Ekaterinburg Koltsovo (SVX)) some years ago. It has announced plans to drop routes from its base at Ekaterinburg to Magnitogorsk (MQF), Perm Bolshoye Savino (PEE), Samara Kurumoch (KUF) and Ufa (UFA) from May 18 where its two remaining active EMB-120s are currently based. Rusline also operates four CRJ-100s and 17 CRJ-200s on scheduled services in Russia and to neighboring countries as well as two A319-100s on charter flights.

08APR2013: IrAero eyes CRJ700s, 737s and a 777 as part of expansion plans
IrAero (IO, Irkutsk (IKT)) is currently in negotiations to buy three B737s (two versions) and one Boeing 777 before 2016 as part of efforts to develop the Russian domestic carrier's route network. Plans are also afoot to acquire an undisclosed number of CRJ-700s. IrAero currently operates four CRJ-200s (with other aircraft leased from Rusline (7R, Moscow Sheremetyevo International (SVO))) alongside An-24 and An-26 turboprops on routes in Russia and to China and it intends to use the new aircraft to extend its network.

30MAR2013: Avialinii Mordovii loses AOC, continues cooperation with Rusline
Avialinii Mordovii (Saransk (SKX)) has lost its air operator certificate on February 12 due to violation of crew work of pilot work time limits. The carrier operated a fleet of An-24 turboprop aircraft on charter services. Avialinii Mordovii, which also operates Saransk airport, continues to jointly market flights operated by Rusline (7R, Moscow Sheremetyevo International (SVO)) from Saransk to Moscow Domodedovo International (DME) with CRJ-200s on a daily basis. The two carriers will also launch a twice weekly seasonal service from Saransk to Adler/Sochi (AER) from June 22.

Rusline (7R, Moscow Sheremetyevo International (SVO)) will shortly take delivery of a first ex-easyJet (U2, London Luton (LTN)) A319-100 VP-BDY (c/n 2442). It currently has a fleet of 22 CRJ-200s and 4 EMB-120s that it uses for domestic and regional services with some of its CRJ-200s operated on behalf of other Russian carriers and tour operators.
