25APR2013: Turkey's Sky Airlines returns its only remaining A320-200
Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya (AYT)) has returned its sole remaining A320-200 (TC-SKT / c/n 194) to the aircraft's leasor, having been in storage for a month or so. The development now leaves the Turkish charter operator with a fleet of three B737-400s and two B737-900(ER)s.

22FEB2013: Sky Airlines also returns A321-200, now operating with Onur
Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya (AYT)) has returned its single A321-200 TC-SKI (c/n 811) to the lessor with the aircraft now being operated by competitor Onur Air (8Q, Istanbul Atatürk/Yesilköy International (IST)) as TC-OBZ. Sky now has just one Airbus aircraft, an A320-200, left in its fleet that also consists of four B737-400s and two B737-900s.

14DEC2012: Turkish charter carrier Sky returns all B737-800s to lessors
Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya (AYT)) has returned its three B737-800s TC-SKH (MSN 29644), TC-SKR (MSN 32576) and TC-SKS (MSN 32348) to the lessors. It had previously already announced to temporarily close down its German subsidiary German Sky Airlines (GHY, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) for the winter season and has also returned German Sky's two B737-800s. Its fleet now consists of one A320-200 (currently wet-leased to Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Atatürk/Yesilköy International (IST)) division AnadoluJet (AJA, Ankara Esenboga International (ESB))), one A321-200, four B737-400s and two B737-900s.

03DEC2012: German Sky suspends operations for winter, returns fleet
German Sky Airlines (GHY, Dusseldorf International (DUS)) has announced that it has temporarily suspended all operations effective December 1. The German subsidiary of Turkish charter carrier Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya (AYT)) had launched operations in 2004 and has operated with a fleet of two B737-800s that are now parked at Cologne/Bonn Konrad Adenauer (CGN) and will be returned to the lessors. German Sky plans to resume operations next summer with other aircraft and has laid off some of its staff because of its temporary suspension of operations. It had mainly operated charter services from Germany to Egypt and Spain.

Corendon Airlines (XC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen International (SAW)) has wet-leased an additional B737-800 TC-SKR (MSN 32576) from Sky Airlines (ZY, Antalya (AYT)) for the summer charter season. Corendon already operates five B737-800s, two B737-400s and a B737-300.
