25FEB2013: Qeshm Airlines to add three Fokker 100s on wet-lease
Qeshm Airlines (QB, Tehran Mehrabad International (THR)) is planning to wet-lease three ex-KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) Fokker 100s from Ukrainian ACMI specialist Bukovyna Airlines (BQ, Chernovtsy (CWC)) with the aircraft currently being prepared for the operations in Iran at Kiev Borispol (KBP) according to Skyliner Aviation. Qeshm Airlines already operates four Fokker 50s on domestic flights and international services between Gheshm Dayrestan (GSM) and Dubai International (DXB).

01JAN2013: Kish Air adds Fokker 100s to fleet again
Kish Air (Y9, Tehran Mehrabad International (THR)) has taken delivery of three ex-Brit Air (DB, Morlaix Ploujean (MXN)) Fokker 100s registered EP-LCP (c/n 11495), EP-LCR (c/n 11492) and EP-LCR (c/n 11330) flown to Kish (KIH) from Kiev Borispol (KBP) that were originally expected to be delivered to Georgian charter operator Air Batumi (BTM, Batumi (BUS)). Kish Air had previously leased two Fokker 100 from Iran Air (IR, Tehran Mehrabad International (THR)) and Iran Aseman Airlines (EP, Tehran Mehrabad International (THR)) between 2007 and 2010. Four additional ex-KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) Fokker 100s are currently expected to be delivered to Air Batumi from Kiev.

14NOV2012: KLM to serve Manston in Kent as only scheduled airline
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) has announced plans to launch twice daily Fokker 70 service between Amsterdam and Manston Kent International (MSE) from April 2, 2013. The service operated by subsidiary KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) will be the only scheduled passenger flights from Manston in Kent since the airport has lost its route to Edinburgh (EDI) offered by Flybe. (BE, Exeter International (EXT)) until March 2012.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)) has reportedly presented a plan to its unions that foresees splitting the airline into two separate units. According to a report by Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad, KLM is considering splitting off its European operations that would operate with a lower cost base than today and possibly based on its subsidiary KLM cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS)).
