  • Read More 30APR2013: Embraer in talks with AeroSvit over three undelivered E190s
Embraer (São José dos Campos) is currently in talks with Ukraine's Privat Group, the owners of Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol), regarding the delivery of three out of the five EMB-190s previously ordered by the now bankrupt Ukrainian carrier. It is believed that Privat Group would lease the aircraft out to Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol), who also took delivery of AeroSvit's two other Embraer EMB-190s, in addition to other aircraft, when Aerosvit suspended short and medium-haul operations in late 2012/early 2013 before leaving the long-haul market shortly thereafter. The two EMB-190s were originally delivered to AeroSvit in 2012 but operated by sister airline, Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk). One of the aircraft (UR-EMA, c/n 19000494) now is already operated by UIA itself, the second aircraft UR-DSB (c/n 19000501) is still operated by Dniproavia on behalf of UIA.

Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) will resume its first international services again on April 22 offering a daily ERJ-145 service from its home base Dnepropetrovsk to Moscow Domodedovo. It plans to add a similar daily service from Lvov to Domodedovo by June 1. These will be the first two international routes Dniproavia operates again after several years of only operating domestic services under its own commercial responsibility and operating international flights under Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol) flight numbers. Since the collapse of Aerosvit, only a small number of the carrier's 15 ERJ-145s have been active on domestic flights. Dniproavia also operates two EMB-190s for Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol) and one ERJ-145 for Wind Rose Aviation (7W, Kiev Borispol) now.
  • Read More 10APR2013: Wind Rose Aviation leasing an Embraer ERJ145 from Dniproavia
Wind Rose Aviation (7W, Kiev Borispol) is currently leasing an ERJ-145 (UR-DNR, c/n 145641) from the fifteen-strong fleet of its sister carrier Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk). It is currently unclear, however, as to what routes the Embraer Regional Jet has been used on given that the charter operator flies an exclusive Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) fleet consisting of six former Donbassaero (7D, Donetsk) A320-200s and three A321-200s.
  • Read More 04MAR2013: Dniproavia to operate two EMB-190s for Ukraine International
Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) has started operating its two EMB-190s UR-DSA (c/n 19000494) and UR-DSB (c/n 19000501) on behalf of Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol) on a new wet-lease agreement replacing its previous arrangement with Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol). Dniproavia had only operated the two aircraft on behalf of Aerosvit for approximately seven months from June 2012 until Aerosvit had to file for bankruptcy protection by the end of 2012.
  • Read More 03FEB2013: Aerosvit suspends remaining operations until February 23
Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol) has announced the temporary suspension of its remaining domestic and long-haul operations with a last flight from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi back to Kiev Borispol operating on February 1. It currently plans to continue limited long-haul operations from the end of this month onwards with a first rotation to Beijing Capital scheduled for February 23 and then a twice weekly service from March 2 onwards. Aerosvit has also announced plans to resume four times weekly service between Kiev Borispol and New York JFK from April 2 that is scheduled to operate daily during the peak summer season. Aerosvit's only two remaining domestic routes from Kiev Borispol to Dnepropetrovsk and Ivano-Frankovsk have now been transferred to Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) from February 1. Dniproavia is offering three daily services to Dnepropetrovsk and a daily flight to Ivano-Frankovsk using its fleet of three remaining operational ERJ-145s.
