Zambezi Airlines (ZJ, Lusaka) has again suspended operations on October 19 according to the African Aviation Tribune. The regional carrier had just resumed operations on June 17 with a CRJ-200 wet-leased from South African Express (XZ, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo). It is now in talks with potential investors including Solenta Aviation (SL, Lanseria) to reorganize ahead of a planned second resumption of services from January 2013.

Zambezi Airlines (ZJ, Lusaka) has resumed limited operations on June 15 with a CRJ-200 wet-leased from South African Express (XZ, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo). It had been grounded since November 1, 2011 after the Zambian civil aviation authority had suspended its operating license citing safety issues. It currently operates from Lusaka to Harare Int'l and Johannesburg O.R. Tambo four times weekly and from Ndola to Johannesburg and Lubumbashi. It has also resumed its Lusaka - Dar-es-Salaam route which is served twice weekly.

Zambezi Airlines (ZJ, Lusaka) is planning to resume scheduled services in June with a statement due soon detailing its plans and the aircraft type to be used. It had been forced to suspend operations in October 2011 after its air operator certificate had been temporarily revoked by the Zambian civil aviation authority citing safety issues.

Proflight Air Services (P0, Lusaka) plans to make use of the void left by Zambezi Airlines (ZJ, Lusaka) which lost its air operator certificate last November to launch its first international services from Lusaka to both Lubumbashi and Harare Int'l later this spring.
