Freedom'Air planning to replace Air Caraïbes on regional services

Freedom'Air (Pointe à Pitre Le Raizet (PTP)) is planning to make use of the void that will be left by Air Caraïbes (TX, Pointe à Pitre Le Raizet (PTP)) when the latter stops operating its single EMB-190 F-OSUD on regional routes on September 9. The EMB-190 is already being offered to potential new operators. Air Caraïbes currently operates the EMB-190 from Fort de France Martinique Aimé Césaire International (FDF) and Pointe à Pitre Le Raizet (PTP) to Belém Val de Cães International (BEL), Cayenne Rochambeau (CAY), Havana José Marti International (HAV), Port au Prince Toussaint Louverture International (PAP) and Santo Domingo Las Américas (SDQ). Port au Prince and Santo Domingo will continue to be served with ATR 72-500s. A group of Air Caraïbes pilots is now however planning to set-up Freedom'Air in cooperation with local investors to retain jet flights to these and other destinations with a fleet of two B737-500s.
