Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Atatürk/Yesilköy International (IST)) CEO Temel Kotil has denied rumours spread by Irish newspapers that the Star Alliance carrier would be considering acquiring a stake in Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International (DUB)). THY has already recently abandoned plans to buy into LOT Polish Airlines (LO, Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin (WAW)) as it will not be able to acquire more than 49% of any European Union carrier.
