SAT Airlines (Russian Federation) (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) is expected to be merged with sister carrier Vladivostok Air (Vladivostok) until the second half of 2013. The two carriers will form the base for a new combined regional subsidiary of parent Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) in the Far East of Russia that is expected to be also equipped with new aircraft in the meantime. SAT currently operates a B737-500, two B737-200s, three Dash 8-300s and two Dash 8-200s. Vladivostok Air has an A330-300, 6 A320-200s and 6 Tu-204-300s that it operates from bases at Khabarovsk Novy and Vladivostok.
