U Airlines next in line with plans for Thai domestic scheduled flights

U Airlines (YL, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International (BKK)) has announced plans to launch domestic scheduled flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International (BKK) to Chiang Mai International (CNX) and Phuket International (HKT) from December 2012 when its second A320-200 gets delivered. It currently operates a single A320-200 on scheduled charter flights from Bangkok to Seoul Incheon International (ICN) and Yancheng (YNZ). U Airlines also plans to add international routes from Bangkok to Chennai Meenambakkam (MAA) and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International (CGK) as well as additional scheduled charter flights to China and South Korea. According to its recently published business plan, it is currently evaluating widebody aircraft for long-haul flights from 2013 with A330s and B767s being the most likely choices even though it also mentions an interest in A380-800s.
