Aer Arann Regional (Dublin International) can get new investment by logistics provider Stobart Group after receiving approval from the UK competition authority for the proposed transaction. Stobart had originally taken a smaller 5% stake in Aer Arann assisting it to exit from examinership back in November 2011 and now plans to increase its stake to 45%. It also owns London Southend airport from where Aer Arann also operates to Dublin International as Aer Lingus Regional under a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International).
