United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) will once more delay its inaugural Denver International - Tokyo Narita service owing to the ongoing B787-8 battery debacle, which since late January, has seen all Dreamliners grounded the world over. Originally scheduled for March 31, the launch was then pushed back to May 12, but has now been rescheduled for June 10. Boeing CEO, Jim McNerney, recently expressed confidence in his company’s "fix" for the 787’s problematic battery system and predicted the aircraft’s grounding "would be lifted soon". The US Federal Aviation Administration, however, has yet to issue any definitive timetable for the 787’s return to service.
