Myanma Airways (Yangon) has temporarily grounded its fleet of three Yunshuji Y-7s in line with a directive from the Myanmar Government. The move comes after a Myanma Airways' MA-60, XY-AIP (c/n 807), suffered its second incident in a month when it recently "swerved" off the runway on landing in Kawthaung in southeastern Myanmar, damaging both propellers. In mid May, another Myanma Airways MA-60, XY-AIQ (c/n 808) sustained damage in a runway excursion accident at Mong Hsat when it went off the runway on landing and came to rest on grassy uneven terrain; its left hand main landing gear collapsed. Myanma Airways administration manager, Hla Htay Aung, said the three planes, which the airline purchased in 2010, will be inspected and it would be up to government aviation authorities whether they will be allowed to fly again.
