SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) will wet-lease a B767-300 from Omni Air International (OY, Tulsa International) for the duration of summer as a means of bolstering its long-haul fleet. It is understood that the aircraft has been deployed into service on flights between Copenhagen Kastrup and New York Newark. The 767 was brought in after a prior deal to lease an A340-300, CC-CQG (msn 167), became bogged down in a contractual dispute that will see the aircraft only arrive in Copenhagen Kastrup at the end of July as opposed to the original date of June 1. With all the necessary cabin reconfigurations still to be done, it is estimated that the A340 will now only enter revenue service in October.
