American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) is set to phase out its fleet of B767-200(ER)s with effect from May 7, 2014. According to AirlineRoute, the aircraft's last tentative flight will be Los Angeles International to New York JFK. As it currently stands, the B767-200s currently in service will be withdrawn from the airline's other New York JFK routes in the following order: San Francisco (March 31, 2014) and Miami International (May 7, 2014). Sharklet equipped new A321-200s will be replacing the type on Los Angeles and San Francisco flights while the B757-200 will be taking over the Miami route.
