Ryan International Airlines (RN, Wichita Mid-Continent (ICT)) has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on March 6 and plans to reject some aircraft leases during a restructuring period. It has been hit by a reduction in demand for troop transportation by the US government and the delay in being allowed to use a new A330-300 dry-leased from Virgin Atlantic (VS, London Heathrow (LHR)) on such flights.
