Central Charter Airlines Slovakia (Bratislava) has ceased operations in early January after plans to wet-lease its only remaining B737-500 to failed start-up carrier Illyrian Airways (Pristina) have fallen through. It had operated two B737-500s on charter services from Slovakia. Its sister carriers in Czech Republic, Central Connect Airlines (3B/Ostrava) and Czech Connect Airlines (CQ/Ostrava), have not been affected and continue operations. It has however then resumed operations on June 1 under new ownership by an investor from the UAE and the name Sayegh Aviation Europe (CCS/Bratislava). Until its single B737-500 returns to charter operations from Bratislava, it is currently wet-leasing aircraft from several other airlines on an ad-hoc basis.
