08JAN2013: Westair Bénin launches with Tailwind B737-400
Westair Bénin (WH, Cotonou Cadjehoun (COO)) has wet-leased B737-400 TC-TLC (MSN 25112) from Turkish charter and ACMI carrier Tailwind Airlines (TI, Istanbul Atatürk/Yesilköy International (IST)) to launch operations on December 10. The aircraft will stay with the West African start-up until May. Westair offers three weekly flights from Cotonou to Abidjan Felix Houphouet Boigny (ABJ), two weekly flights via Pointe Noire (PNR) to Brazzaville Maya Maya (BZV), via Pointe Noire to Kinshasa N'Djili International (FIH) and via Douala (DLA) to Libreville Leon M'Ba (LBV) as well as weekly services to Ouagadougou (OUA) and via Niamey Diori Hamani International (NIM) to Ouagadougou.

Westair Bénin (WH, Cotonou Cadjehoun (COO)) is planning to start operations with a CRJ-200 operating from Cotonou Cadjehoun (COO) to Abidjan Felix Houphouet Boigny (ABJ), Douala (DLA), Libreville Leon M'Ba (LBV), Niamey Diori Hamani International (NIM) and Ouagadougou (OUA). It also has plans to add more destinations and a B737-300 at a later stage.
