CSA Czech Airlines (OK, Prague Václav Havel) has announced plans to lease an A330 from June 2013 to resume long-haul services from Prague in cooperation with Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon). It plans to initially offer two weekly services between Prague and Seoul Incheon complementing the four weekly flights offered by Korean on the same route. Before it develops additional new long-haul routes, CSA will use the A330 on short-haul routes to Ekaterinburg and Moscow Sheremetyevo. CSA has also announced plans to complete the retirement of its B737-500 fleet by the end of the IATA winter timetable period in March 2013. It currently still operates five of the aircraft in its fleet. Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) meanwhile has reportedly also expressed its interest in placing a bid for CSA as part of the new privatization process.
