Pinnacle Airlines (Memphis International) is expected to be the operator of the 40 new CRJ900s its partner Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has ordered earlier this month that will be delivered between 2013 and 2014. Pinnacle's pilots have tentatively agreed to a new labour agreement with the regional carrier that is currently operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Pinnacle is expected to retire its 140 CRJ200s operated for Delta from its fleet over the course of the next three years. The new CRJ-900s will increase its fleet of CRJ-900s from 55 to 81 with 14 of its current aircraft to be transferred to SkyWest Airlines (OO, Salt Lake City) and ExpressJet Airlines (Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson).
