UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk) and Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at developing both carrier's domestic and international passenger and air cargo markets. According to the press release, both parties will consider signing interline agreements, a special pro-rata agreement, code-share agreements and a re-protection agreement. The airlines will also collaborate on staff training, personnel development, MRO, quality control, improving on-board service and upgrading ground handling operations with particular emphasis on Moscow Vnukovo. Both carriers' frequent flyer programs will be merged into one.
