Montserrat Airways (5M, Montserrat) has taken over the Antigua to Nevis route with effect from December 16, 2013. The route had until then been operated by LIAT (Antigua and Barbuda) (Antigua). According to the Montserratian carrier, the contract negotiated with the Nevis Island Administration includes a twice daily services, five days a week using its BN-2 aircraft. Montserrat Airways has been operating in the region for nearly five years, flying scheduled services, mainly out of Antigua and Montserrat. It also flies charters throughout the Caribbean, carries freight and offers medivac facilities.
