DAT - Danish Air Transport (Kolding) will take delivery of its first A320-200 in April. Danish aviation portal, check-in.dk, says the airline plans to acquire "three or four" A320-200s over the next 3 years but has thus far sourced only two; the first of which is due in service on April 1, 2014. "We have taken the decision to enter the 150-190 seater ad-hoc & series charter market. There isn't really anyone else in our area that covers this sector," DAT director, Jesper Rungholm told check-in.dk. Mr Rungholm did not, however, disclose the exact nature of the flights or for whom the twinjets would be operating though it is speculated that the A320s will be used for a Primo Tours contract due to start in autumn this year. DAT currently operates six ATR42s, six ATR72-200s and one MD-83.
